Vila Louro is located in the western region of Portugal, in the municipality of Torres Vedras, just two minutes from Santa Cruz - a typically Portuguese village, known for its long sandy beach, rare natural beauty and for the practice of wave sports, being one of the most popular beach resorts in the region. Here you will find quality Portuguese gastronomy and traditional sweets, as well as the best wines, Torres Vedras being the municipality with the largest wine production in the country.
The best surfing beaches are right next door - Ericeira (1st World Surfing Reserve of Europe) at 30 minutes and Peniche at about 45 minutes - as well as some points of major touristic interest in Portugal (about 1 hour away) - Sanctuary of Fátima; Nazaré; Óbidos; Sintra - and Lisbon at 50 minutes.
